Refund policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to every event organized by Driftline Ventures LLC, including the Schoolie Tournament and any other event.

Event entries
You may cancel your registration and receive a refund of your entry fee, less a $25 cancellation fee per entry, at any time up to 60 days before the first scheduled day of the event you registered for. To request a refund, email schoolietournament@schoolietournament.com on or before that date.

Fewer than 60 days before the first scheduled day of the event, entry fees are non-refundable and no refund will be issued for any reason, including non-attendance. Driftline may, in its sole discretion, grant an exception in cases of documented hardship. Any such exception is a courtesy, not an entitlement, and does not change this policy for any other entry.

Substitutions
A registered team may substitute an angler with our approval. Requests must be submitted in writing to schoolietournament@schoolietournament.com no later than fourteen (14) days before the event, and every substitute angler must complete the participant waiver and release before fishing. Substitutions and transfers outside this process are granted at Driftline's sole discretion.

If we cancel or change an event
Our events are outdoor events subject to weather, permitting, venue availability, and other circumstances outside our control. We may change the schedule, format, rules, boundaries, venue, or divisions of any event, and may delay, shorten, postpone, relocate, or cancel an event or any portion of it, at our discretion.

If we cancel an event in its entirety before its first scheduled day, registered anglers will receive a credit equal to their entry fee toward entry in the next edition of the same event. Once an event has begun, no refund or credit will be issued if the event is shortened, suspended, relocated, or ended early for any reason, or if the Captains Meeting, Awards Celebration, or any other ancillary event is cancelled or modified. Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and must be applied to the next edition of the same event.

Merchandise
All merchandise is final sale. We do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons of fit, preference, or change of mind, so please check sizing and product details before ordering. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, email schoolietournament@schoolietournament.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos, and we will replace the item or refund it at our discretion. Processing
We review refund requests as our schedule allows and aim to respond within 10 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method; your bank may take an additional 5–10 business days to post the credit. We do not issue refunds in cash or to a different payment method.

These terms are also set out in Section 2 of our Terms of Service, which governs in the event of any conflict.
